Hempfield Rec Center offers Strictly Skills Basketball Clinic? for grades 6-11. Small-group basketball instruction with staff of college and head high-school basketball coaches. Challenger Baseball

Challenger Little League of Lancaster County, a baseball program endorsed by Little League International, is taking registrations for the 2012 spring season. Lancaster General Health Orthopedic Center will host a free coaches clinic from 7 a.m.-noon Saturday, March 3, at Lancaster General Hospital, 555 N. Junior League of Lancaster will holds its seventh annual Run 4 Luck at 9:30 a.m. St. Patrick?s Day, Saturday, March 17, at Franklin Marshall College. The run/walk begins at Baker Field and includes a four-mile course through a residential area with gently rolling terrain. A Kid?s Fun Run will also take place beginning at 10:45 a.m., weather permitting.? Registration for the Kid?s Fun Run will take place the day of the event. The run benefits the benevolent care fund that provides service to residents who through no fault of their own have depleted personal resources. Millersville men?s soccer and coach Steve Widdowson will hold two soccer camps this summer: a boys? overnight residential camp from July 15-18 and a boys? day camp from July 16-19. The overnight residential camp is for 12-18-year-olds, and will include a technical field session and a tactical field session as well as a game session each day. Cost of the camp is $430 for a residential camper and $370 for a commuting camper. Team, family, and early discounts are available. The day camp is for ages 8-14 and will have two sessions per day that include speed/agility and quickness training, detailed technical training in small number situations, small sided games, and tactical training in larger number games. Millersville women?s volleyball team, led by head coach Brian Smith, will host five camps for girls this summer. The All Skills Camp, for ages 11-17, will be held June 29-July 2. There will be camps for each individual position, for players in grades 8-12, throughout July, with the Setter and Middle Hitter Camps, from July 16-19, and the Libero and Outside Hitter Camps from July 23-29.
